POLRI or the Indonesian National Police is the national police department of Indonesia with main duties to maintain law and order, enforcing the law, providing protection, shelter and services to the public. POLRI is responsible directly under the President. POLRI was founded in 1946 and initially as a part of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). In 1999, POLRI offically become an independent institution separated from the Indonesian National Armed Forces. POLRI headquartered at Jl Trunojoyo No 3 Jakarta Selatan. At present, the Indonesian National Police supported by 31 regional police commands (Polisi Daerah or Polda) across the archipelago. As of December 2011, POLRI has 387,470 active personnels. POLRI is headed by a Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri). Since 25 October 2013 held by General Police Sutarman replacing General Police Timur Pradopo.

- Brigadir Polki : 10,750 positions
- Minimum SMA / MA / SMK or equivalent with minimum final score of 6.0
- For Class III (XII) can using the final semester report card
- Age at the time of open education
- Minimum of 17 years 5 months
- Maximum 22 years
- Minimum height
- Male: 163 cm
- Female: 155 cm
