PT Krakatau Posco Energy (KPE) is a joint venture company between PT Krakatau Daya Listrik (Krakatau Steel Group) and Posco Energy (Posco Group). Currently, PT KPE is building steam power plant with a capacity of 2 x 100 MW since September 2011. The power plant is located in Krakatau Industrial Estate, Cilegon.
Electrical energy generated will be channeled to the Integrated Steel Mill (ISM) Krakatau Posco. ISM itself requires electrical energy of approximately 200 MW for the production process. In operation, KPE utilizing off-gas of the Blast Furnace in the ISM as a primary fuel.
KPE is a green energy company because it uses off-gas from the ISM Krakatau Posco, where these gases are usually thrown away, but by KPE actually utilized as fuel. Thus, KPE also participated in the reduction of CO2 emissions in the air and abide by the principle of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). Requirements
- Min SMA or equivalent, majoring in Mechanical, Electricity, Electronics
- Max age 28 years old in June 2013
- Min 5 years of working experience in power plants
- Min national test score average of 7
- Able to work hard, creative, initiative, and able to interact effectively with other team
- Placement in Kawasan Industri Krakatau Cilegon Banten
